Made for dry skin, tired muscles, overworked joints, and anywhere that could use a little extra care. The naturally sweet, resinous scent comes from the herbs themselves, with no essential oils added. A simple, slow-made balm inspired by the kinds of remedies once kept on the apothecary shelf.
Balm of Gilead has a name that reaches back thousands of years. The “balm of Gilead” is referenced in the Bible as a precious healing balm and aromatic resin, and over time the name became associated with fragrant balsam poplar buds used in traditional herbal preparations.
This balm is made by slowly infusing whole Balm of Gilead buds with arnica, comfrey, St. John’s wort, and calendula in jojoba oil for four weeks, then blending the strained infusion with beeswax to create a rich, concentrated herbal salve.
